Green Acres Fishing Lodge is family owned and operated. When you visit Green Acres you become part of the family, so don't be surprised if we ask you to join us for a cold drink, a slice of watermellon, or even some smores during your stay.
Just to give you a little background on us, I was born in Bossier City, LA at Barksdale AFB, and my wife Lisa is from Cape Girardeau, MO. We have been married for 25 years and before moving to Toledo Bend we lived in southern Louisiana for 10 years in Mandeville (near New Orleans). We moved to Toledo Bend in 2009 to "retire" and enjoy the fishing and boating here on the lake. Lisa is a great cook but we both miss some of the great restaurants in New Orleans.
We have two boys, Nathan and Jason, who both attended LSU/Baton Rouge and are now attending LSU Health Science Center in New Orleans. They are both interested in the health care industry and in the School of Nursing. If you're lucky enough to catch a glimpse of Nathan or Jason they will either have a fishing pole in hand (heading to their favorite fishing hole) or on their way to the swimming hole.

As a family, we have enjoyed all types of fishing all of our lives. We are looking forward to doing a lot more fishing here on Toledo Bend and adding to our photo album.
